Copy editing is the bridge between the artistic flow of line editing and the final polish of proofreading. While line editing focuses on the "music" of your prose, copy editing is all about the mechanics and consistency. I’m looking for the logic gaps and technical slips that can pull a reader right out of your world.

This is the "anal-retentive" phase (and I say that with pride!). Proofreading is the absolute final safety net before you hit "publish" or send your work to an agent. At this stage, the story is set and the style is locked in. I am hunting for the tiny gremlins that everyone else missed: the stray typos, the "its" vs. "it's" slip-ups, the inconsistent Oxford commas, and the double spaces. I ensure your manuscript is technically flawless so that nothing distracts your reader from the story itself.
